Looking for a challenge after three decades in a traditional business environment, Ian launched Curbz and has never looked back. He plays an active role in the design and build of landscaping projects. Ian draws great personal satisfaction from transforming spaces for our clients and takes pride in the work of the talented crew members who bring their all to every Curbz project.

After hours, you can often find Ian chasing his dogs in the backyard or enjoying some downtime with his family. He also loves cycling and skiing and is an avowed weather and news junkie.

Jude managed Curbz Garden Design division for 5 years, establishing best practices for quick turnaround and small garden jobs. She recently opened Suite Pea – a landscape company devoted to servicing condos, courtyards and tiny gardens. Jude remains active with Curbz overseeing marketing and communications as well as recruiting, coaching and training. It’s a full load juggling both ventures, but Jude’s passion for gardening is what makes it a full load of pleasure.

In the off-season Jude travels the Caribbean looking for new, uncharted destinations. She is a devoted grandmother who fills her spare time with writing, and has published a children’s book.

As the office manager, Dionne plays a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Her undeniable administrative skills, passion for customer service, and knack for organization all help ensure our entire team stays on the right track. If you’ve ever called us and spoken to a friendly voice, you’ve experienced Dionne’s charm firsthand.

During her free time, Dionne loves to spend time with her husband Rob and their children, Hailey and Brady. She’s also an avid baker and often spends long hours whipping up delicious creations in her home kitchen.

Dev has been an integral part of the Curbz family since he joined us in 2015. From his transition from Foreman to Project Manager, Dev’s journey at Curbz has been marked by growth and excellence. With over 15 years in the business and experience as a foreman, Dev brings a comprehensive understanding of the design and build process.

As Project Manager, Dev is a central point of coordination, overseeing the execution of projects from beginning to end. He ensures that all projects adhere to the highest quality standards, and his attention to detail and pursuit of perfection have become hallmarks of his work.

With diplomas in Journalism and Sports and Nutrition, Dev is committed to leading a healthy lifestyle. When he’s not managing projects, Dev is an avid hockey and baseball player, finding joy on the playing field and in the arena.

Despite his busy schedule, Dev remains grounded in what matters most: family and friends. He is also an active member of a band that produces a wide variety of music.

As Yard Manager, Peter oversees the flow of materials, equipment, and resources that keep our projects running seamlessly. From coordinating deliveries of stone, wood, aggregates, and plants to managing yard waste pickups and bin logistics, Peter ensures every piece of the puzzle fits perfectly. His dedication to organization and efficiency means our crews are always prepared with what they need, when they need it. Peter also oversees the maintenance and repairs of our machines and trucks, ensuring our fleet stays in peak condition.

With his sharp problem-solving skills and a proactive approach, Peter keeps the yard humming like a well-oiled machine. His efforts behind the scenes make a visible impact on every project we complete. Dependable, skilled, and endlessly hardworking, Peter is the backbone of our day-to-day success.

Janine’s journey in Landscape Design was driven by the desire to merge her artistic abilities with the natural world. Her degree in Landscape Design from Fanshawe College provided her with a strong foundation in the principles of design, enabling her to approach each project with a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality.

With five years of experience as a gardener and working at a plant nursery and greenhouse, Janine’s knowledge of plants is both extensive and diverse. Her artistic sensibility, green thumb, and dedication to sustainable landscaping practices make her an outstanding horticultural technician. For Janine, the satisfaction of seeing a job progress from its inception to its completion – where a well-designed landscape becomes a living work of art – is what fuels her passion for the job!

During her leisure time, she enjoys spending time at her cottage with family and friends, practicing yoga, and cooking.

With over 20 years of experience in the landscaping industry, Ron Lee brings deep knowledge, sharp attention to detail, and a serious passion for building things that last. He got his start in landscape maintenance but quickly found his calling in construction, gravitating toward carpentry, where his craftsmanship really shines. Whether it’s a custom fence, a sprawling deck, or a one-of-a-kind outdoor structure, Ron’s the guy who makes it happen.

Ron jokes that he was “never meant for a cubicle,” and his work proves it—he thrives outdoors, working with his hands, and turning raw materials into functional, beautiful spaces. Clients and coworkers alike appreciate his quiet confidence and laser focus on doing things right. Outside of landscaping, Ron is a published photographer, with a trained eye for composition that shows up both behind the lens and on the job site.

Ryan White joined Curbz five years ago as a labourer, fresh out of George Brown College with a trades certificate and a strong work ethic. Since then, he’s grown into one of our most skilled and reliable foremen, thanks to his commitment to learning, problem-solving, and leading by example. Through hands-on experience and mentorship, Ryan has honed his talents in hardscaping and woodworking, building everything from patios to complex stonework with precision and pride. What keeps him in the industry? The chance to work outdoors, the satisfaction of building something real, and being part of a tight-knit, supportive crew.

When he’s not on-site, Ryan’s probably out camping, biking, or snowboarding, soaking up nature in every season.

David brings a unique blend of technical training and hands-on experience to every job site. A graduate of Seneca College’s Civil Engineering Technician program, he entered the landscaping world over a decade ago.Starting out as a landscape labourer, David spent his early years immersing himself in all aspects of the trade—from paving and planting to excavation and framing. His skill and leadership naturally progressed into a lead hand role, and eventually foreman, where he’s known for guiding projects with a hands-on approach and strong attention to detail. Whether it’s laying complex interlock, framing decks, or managing multi-layer builds, David brings a deep well of knowledge to every task. David’s passion for building started in childhood and has never faded—he still approaches his work with that same curiosity and creativity that first drew him to the field.

Off the clock, you might find David rowing his hand built boat through the Kawartha Lakes, catching fish, or camping in Ontario’s provincial parks. In the winter, he retreats to his woodshop, where he builds custom furniture by hand.
